Tourism Somontano website premiered live

After a few days idle Neonautas I return with good news: The presentation yesterday of the new Tourism webpage Somontano.

From a simple top menu, complemented with a secondary broader in each section, divides the content into four main sections: "What Do, what to see, with all attractions, historical, natural or cultural, "Plan your trip", where you can find plenty of restaurants, hotels, wineries and travel agencies, as well as walking routes in bike or car, "Multimedia", with photo galleries, audio tours, virtual tours, webcams and download all types of documents, and finally, "Agenda" includes a complete listing of events, activities, festivals, etc.. and schedules visits the main tourist centers of the region.

Particularly interesting are the panoramic images included in the Virtual Tours , developed ViajesVirtuales.es by people, and show 37 Somontano corners like this:

Virtual Tours: Vero Pozán jump.

Also tourist routes, thanks to Google Maps technology, provide a good amount of information.

And that is not the thing. With a simple registration, you will become part of the Community Somontano where, in addition to receiving all the information, consult the latest news and participate in contests, you can add your own content in the form of comments, pictures or videos.

También la usabilidad could be improved, with sections such as notebook constantly changing site or an overly complex structure of content.

Finally, accessibility. While secure, according to the logo located in the footer, which meet the Level Double-A Conformance Guidelines Web Content Accessibility 1.0, the various tests performed - TAW , HERA and WAVE - show that only meets Level A. Some of these problems, such as adding alternative text to images, be simple to solve. Others, perhaps inherited from the tool selected for development, will more difficult.

Not bad end. My sincere congratulations to everyone involved in this project because they have achieved spectacular results, providing all information on Somontano Barbastro and an interesting collection of tools to anyone in need, through a web page where the quality and quantity of the content is beyond doubt.
